Emergency Preparedness Month -
County, CAL FIRE and San Diego County Sheriff’s officials reminded people regionwide to have disaster and evacuation plans in place. San Diego County Sheriff Anthony Ray urged people to plan ahead and not wait until disaster strikes at a press conference to update the public about the Border 32 fire Thursday. He said people should have telephone contacts ready, as well as food, water, and prescription medications if they take them, and a full tank of gasoline in the car. “Have those plans ahead of time,” Ray said, “so … you can move out quickly.”
