Special TVSD Village Veterans Event - Tour of USS Midway and lunch.
Mike Rigdon, a Village member who is a Docent / Curator on the USS Midway, is inviting all TVSD Village
Veterans (only) for a visit and tour on the USS Midway, along with lunch at the ship's cafeteria.
Everyone should be able to do the visit; however, for those using wheelchairs, walkers, canes and/or unable to do steps well, you will want to visit only the Hanger Bay and Flight Deck as the stairs to the decks above and below these two decks are steep and narrow.
There are two (2) elevators: one (1) to the Hangar Bay and one (1) to the Flight Deck.
Following is some important information you need to know:
- Parking per car:.................. $10.00 (carpooling is recommended - you must arrange your own)
- Admission to ship:.............. FREE (Mike providing up to 12 Free tickets only)
- Lunch @ ship’s cafe: .......,. At one’s own expense (not expensive)
- Registration closes on: ..... 11//8/22

- Time:.................................. * 10:00 AM to approximately 2:00 PM tentative
- Many new exhibits to be seen
- Bring light jacket just in case
- Good walking shoes
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Bottle of water and/or purchase onboard the ship
* NOTE: Leaving time will partially depend upon the others in your carpool.
Important Notes:
> Mike needs to know who is coming by November 8 to be sure he has the proper number of tickets!
> Mike can only obtain 12 Free tickets, so we are capping registration to the first 12 registrants.
> Each veteran can bring one guest (spouse / partner / caregiver). These guests are included in the total count of 12.
