Welcome Friends and Neighbors!

Tierrasanta Villagers are observing the Covid-19 quarantine and isolation regulations to the greatest extent possible.  And as regulations have relaxed, our normally busy schedule of activities and events has slowly started to increase.

Please feel free to browse our website, and check back for changes in our events and activity schedules as Covid-19 restrictions are modified.

What's Happening At our Village...      (and check out new funnies!)

We are but one in a sea of Villages... many right here in California!

Your far flung friends and/or family may be near a Village in their distant locale, and eager to learn about possible events and activities they could participate in!  Help them connect!

WHY A VILLAGE?  Villages are well positioned to improve the mental and physical health of the communities they serve. Until the year 2029, 10,000 people will turn 65 on a daily basis. In Britain and the United States, roughly one in three people older than 65 live alone, and in the United States, half of those older than 85 live alone. Studies in both countries show the prevalence of loneliness among people older than 60 ranging from 10% to 46%.

Nationwide, the Village to Village Network has over 250 member chapters in 43 states Learn more about Village to Village here:  Village to Village

Baby's First Exam
A woman and a baby were in the doctor's examining room, waiting for the doctor to come in for the baby's first exam. The doctor arrived, and examined the baby, checked his
weight, and being a little concerned, asked if the baby was breast fed or bottle fed.

"Breast fed," she replied.

"Well, strip down to your waist," the doctor ordered. She did.

He pinched her nipples, pressed, kneaded, and rubbed both breasts for a while, in a very professional and detailed examination.

Motioning to her to get dressed, the doctor said, "No wonder this baby is underweight. You don't have any milk."

I know," she said, "I'm his Grandma, but I'm glad I came."
